TSN’s Mathew Scianitti is reporting veteran CFL coach Jacques Chapdelaine is poised to become offensive coordinator with Corey Chamblin’s Toronto Argonauts.

Chapdelaine and Chamblin last worked together in 2015 with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, where the pair filled the same roles as they will this season in Toronto.

The SFU grad last worked in the CFL in Montreal where he was head coach of the Alouettes in 2016-17.

It’s a homecoming of sorts for Chapdelaine. His first CFL coaching job was with the Argos receivers in 1992.

Toronto’s staff looks like:

Corey Chamblin HC/DC
Jacques Chapdelaine OC
Wendell Avery REC
Dan Dorazio OL
Kevin Eiben LB
Cory McDiarmid ST

Jacques Chapdelaine a CFL head coach in waiting. A excellent choice for mid season Argonauts head coach replacement.
