The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed free agent defensive back Loucheiz Purifoy.

PRO: Signed with the Riders in August, 2018…signed with the Ottawa Redblacks in February, 2018…signed with the B.C. Lions in March, 2016…claimed by the Seattle Seahawks in November, 2014…signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent in May, 2014.


2018: Started seven regular-season games for the Ottawa Redblacks…had 29 defensive tackles, one forced fumble and one interception which he returned 18 yards.



  • Made CFL debut June 25/16


COLLEGE: Spent three seasons at the University of Florida (2011-13)…collected 102 defensive tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, two quarterback sacks and two interceptions.

Interesting signing! I hope he comes in and fits in well... rumours of him being a selfish player... hope it's not true!

He appears to be a solid DB that's willing to get dirry. Also returner as well. We'll take any help we can get.

Where is our scouting staff? Mega dollars spent on scouting and we continuously sign other teams rejects!

Jovon Johnson was also a "other teams reject" and he's turned out pretty darn well, if I may say so myself.
