These rankings mean absolutely nothing. They're likely compiled by a communications nerd in Ontario who has never played a minute of hockey.

The rankings aren’t always BS.

Last year they ranked the pats pretty much dead on. Pats were within a game of the mem cup and that was while losing key players to injury.

You're right they mean nothing, the Pats were ranked #1 almost all last season and didn't even make it to Memorial Cup. Then Seattle who beat the Pats were swept by every team in the Master Card Memorial Cup.

I would rather my team not be in the rankings then just win in the playoffs!! The rankings don't mean anything fun to follow though.
