RODGERS, KNOX TO THE NFL

There are now two holes in the Saskatchewan Roughriders defense.

The team announced on Tuesday evening that CB Kacy Rodgers (left) and LB Jeff Knox have both signed NFL deals.

Rodgers - who spent the past two CFL seasons in Saskatchewan after breaking into the league with the Edmonton Eskimos in 2015 - has signed with the New York Jets.

Rodgers’ father, Kacy Sr., is the Defensive Coordinator with the Gotham Green.

Knox is returning to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after being cut by the Bucs following training camp in 2017.

Knox was a triple-winner with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2015, being named the club’s Most Outstanding Player, Most Outstanding Defensive Player and Most Outstanding Rookie.

Shouldn’t be very difficult to find a replacement for Rodgers, he was not very good. Knox treats the Rider’s like an old girlfriend, comes back when the new gig doesn’t work out. Adios to both!

Goodbye to both

Why wouldn't they leave if they can make more money there? Good for them. I hope it works out but if it doesn't, they will be welcome back

how wasnt kacy rodgers very good? he was the premier cover man. went man on man with every other teams top receiver. you are prob basing it on one game in ottawa that the fastest guy in the league had yards.

QUESTION?
Why is Toronto Argonauts Cory Chamblin allowed to walk away from his two year CFL contract to pursue other opportunity down south with one year still remaining of said agreement? What is commisioner Ambrosie response or statement to this matter?

Waiting for league response.

Let’s see if Knox makes it in Tampa. Unless they released some linebackers doubt if much has changed. He didn’t make it last year, time will tell. Rodgers’s dad is the DC with the Jets. Thought that stuff stopped at little league.

Kacey Rogers is always in position to make a play but then never does. Watching him be in perfect position to make a play on the ball but never do and have the receiver make the catch instead is enraging. Addition by subtraction.
