(Keith Hershmiller Photography)

Matt Bradley scored the overtime winner as part of a three point night and the Pats won a third straight game, 5-4 over the Prince Albert Raiders on Monday night at the Brandt Centre.

The Pats got the lone goal of the first period when Dawson Davidson scored shorthanded for his seventh of the season and it was 1-0 after one.

The second period was all Prince Albert, scoring three times to make it 3-1 heading to the third.

In the final frame, Josh Mahura (12), Nick Henry (6) and Jake Leschyshyn (12) scored in a span of 2:38 to take a 4-3 lead. The Raiders responded with a powerplay goal with just under seven minutes left which eventually forced overtime in a 4-4 game.

The Pats then got the game winning goal off the stick of Matt Bradley, his team leading 24th, and Regina took the extra point, 5-4 the final score.

Bradley and Josh Mahura each had a goal and two assists, Robbie Holmes put up two points and Tyler Brown made 27 saves in the win.

The Pats outshot the Raiders 39-31, the powerplay went 0/3 and the penalty kill 2/4 with a shorthanded goal.

Sure they won 3 straight but 2 were against a below average Prince Albert team ,the trade deadline is fast approaching ,come on JP make some trades to improve this team or our playoff run will be very short and our memorial cup run will be even shorter

Why do they show a SELLOUT for every game but still advertise as Tickets available?

Been out of the loop for a few days, what happened to Sloboshan and Smart?

1st Anon - any win is a good win. Ask the Broncos - they have lost to the same average Team twice in the last few games. BTW JP has made some trades to improve already or do you just like to "dig" because your not a Pats fan anyways? :))
2nd Anon - Where do you see sellout? Announced attendance was approx. 6200 last night which is about 200 shy of a sellout.
B.O Don - a few days? :)) Smart traded early November for Fleury. Sloboshan didn't return from Christmas break. Heard they were working on a trade for him, but more likely he will be put on waivers.

Mahura sure adds something to the Team hey? Sparked the 3rd period comeback with a great individual effort but played well the whole game. Nice to see no letdown after the roller coaster ride he was on with World Juniors.

Brownie played very well again as D just not where they should be...too many missed pinches at opposing blue line leaving him out to dry. Likely 10 2 on 1's and breakaways in the last 2 games of which he has made save on most of them.

Interesting to see if PA flips a 20 year old to us now that they have 4 with Nagy coming over from Royals. Nagy or Stallard would look good in a Pats uni too!

Go TEAM CANADA (and Steel, Howden, Steenbergen) Go!!

Slob went to Jr. A which wasn't a surprise. I heard he committed to a BC team before the season even started.

Smart got cut.

Buziak got traded.

This team has no chemistry with each other.Players are all over the ice and it looks like they are waiting for the other guy to make a move. The only players who know what they are doing are as follows #77,#19,#5,#4,#13 as for the rest why are they here. Oh yes #23 when he is back.

Nick Henry is in a world of his own, scared to take a hit,hit anybody and very lazy on the back check.Granted he has scored a couple of goals in the last few games and for the rest WOW!

If there is a God then he better figure it out as this team is running out of opportunities to make a playoff spot.Granted we beat PA but look at the shots in PA and Brown saved this teams ass.

Last nights game was so boring for the first two periods I thought that people were going to leave early until Mahura scored a terrific goal.

Lets see what happens on Wednesday against the Wheaties and if they play like they did in the first two periods of last nights game people will leave before the 50/50 is drawn.

Sad to say but the playoff picture looks pretty dim as of now.If the Pats coaching staff ever stopped coaching by yelling at players all game long on what to do, we would be in real bad shape. Sound like a pee wee team as the kids are learning.

I do not believe that all game long the coaching staff of the Pats needs to coach by yelling, but I guess if they do not then the team would self destruct as no one knows what to do.

In the next few days if trades were made and I believe there were some it will take a miracle to turn this team around, so hold on to your hats as it is going to be a hell of a ride.

Pats will get 2nd wildcard behind Saskatoon and have the misery of Meeting the Moose Jaw warriors for a quick 1st round exit. Then they can head home for 2 2.5 months until mid May and come back and embarrass the WHL as hosts at memorial cup

From the games played in Brandon thus far this year, surprisingly, Regina has been average at best. Brown has been very good but not stellar like last year, which could be in part due to an overall weaker D core playing in front of him this year although he still has a propensity to let in a softie once in a while or not make a big save when the game is on the line. But, he is not their biggest problem at all. The D is better with Fleury added to go with Mahura, but they still need one or two more steady defenceman. Upfront, the Pats are noticeably without much depth beyond the first two lines. Steel has been very good but not outstanding. Bradley has actually looked better when they have been in Brandon this season. One or two skilled forwards are also needed. The bottom line is that they get in anyways, but come Memorial Cup time, Regina may have been off for a number of weeks as a result of not making it far into the playoffs unless there are some significant improvement to made in the next week or so. Timing is everything, and too bad they did not have the team they did last year for the Memorial Cup. As it stands, I would say Moose Jaw, Swift Current, Medicine Hat and even Brandon are stronger than the Pats right now, and that does not take into account what other strong teams there are out West...

WAS PUMPED THAT I GOT TO GO THE THE GAME! I LIKE THE GAMES, BUT DON'T GET TO GO TOO OFTEN, AS I AM NOT EXACTLY ROLLIN IN DOUGH THESE DAYS... SEEMED LIKE LOTS OF EMPTY SEATS. :(

SOME GAMES ARE WILD AND EXCITING, BUT THIS ONE DIDN'T REALLY HAVE THAT VIBE. PLAYERS AND CROWD DIDN'T SEEM TO INTO IT FOR THE FIRST COUPLE PERIODS. COULD HAVE USED A FIGHT OR TWO TO WAKE PEOPLE UP A BIT. IT WAS STILL FUN TO MAKE IT TO A GAME THOUGH. SOME PRETTY NICE GOALS.
