COORS LIGHT RECAP: PATS 4 RAIDERS 3

PRINCE ALBERT - The Regina Pats picked up a third straight win on Wednesday night, 4-3 in Prince Albert over the Raiders.

The Raiders led 1-0 after a powerplay goal five minutes into the first, but Jake Leschyshyn would tie it up with his 15th of the year and it was 1-1 after one.

In the second, the Raiders made it 2-1 off the stick of Curtis Miske, but 25 seconds later Matt Bradley tipped home his 28th and it was 2-2 after 40 minutes.

In the third, the Pats killed off over a minute of 5 on 3 powerplay time for Prince Albert to keep the game tied and then went to a powerplay of their own. Matt Bradley would score his second of the night, 29th of the season, and Regina had their first lead at 3-2.

On another powerplay, Jesse Gabrielle added to the lead with his third of the year and it was a 4-2 game. Prince Albert got one back with less than five minutes left but Regina held on from there for the 4-3 win.

Bradley had the two goals and Cameron Hebig chipped in with two assists to lead the Pats offence. Ryan Kubic did the rest making 34 saves.

The defense was terrible last night giving up the puck to many times. Kubic kept the team in the whole game by making saves that he should of not had to make as the defense was bad.

Paddock must of went crazy on his veteran defense as at times it was hard to believe what was happening.

In general the team is looking much better as games progress and can only start to really excel, as we have a ton of talent.

Finally we have a team that has enforcer's and what a difference it makes at times when things get tough.

Keep up the good work boys and you will be rewarded.

Great to see the new owners supporting what the Coaches have done the past few years by extending their contracts...well deserved.

Yea agree the 1st period looked like "pee wee" hockey in the Pats end...no clue what they were doing and it didn't look like PA was really pressing them too much, but Kubic did play very well throughout the game.

Jake L has picked up his game since Xmas break which is really good to see. They mentioned on broadcast last night they thought Oksanen would play a wing on that line...interesting thought but think it is more of a checking line and don't see Oky as a checker but a sniper.

Hebig still finding his way on the team...certainly got the moves so just needs to get comfortable with line mates and their positioning in the offensive end...great hands and very smart player (another Sammy).

If you watched the game on Access did anyone really believe the "tap" Hajek gave to the PA player when a penalty shot was called was more like a dive? The guy fell like a sack of potatoes....thought I was watching a soccer game when I saw it :))

Bring on the Warriors...going to be a sellout and The Regiment will be ready!

GO PATS!
