REGINA - Matt Bradley's even strength goal at 13:21 of the third period was the winner as the Regina Pats downed the Brandon Wheat Kings 5-4 in a rare Thursday game in the Brandt Centre.

With the win, the Pats snapped a 5-game losing skid.

In a back-and-forth game, the Wheat Kings led 1-0 after 20 minutes and upped their lead to 2-0 early in the second. However Regina erupted for four goals in the middle period - from Logan Nijhoff, Cale Fleury, Bryan Lockner and Nick Henry - to hold a 4-3 lead after two periods.

Brandon's Stelio Mattheos tied the game up at 4-4 midway through the third however Bradley struck for his team-leading 23rd goal of the season and it held up as the game-winner.

Regina was outshot 35-27 while going 2/8 on the powerplay and 3/3 killing penalties.

Tyler Brown made 24 saves to collect the victory in the Pats goal.

The attendance was 6238.

Regina (17-18-3) is next in action on Saturday when they visit the P.A. Raiders at 7:00 pm on 620 CKRM. The Pats' next home game is January 1 against the Raiders in a 7:00 start.

Entertaining game!

No Sloboshan, no Oksanen and no Morriseau. Guess we know three moves that are happening. Don't know what you ca get for Sloboshan and Morriseau though.

Interesting to see Dewit got traded again.

Attendance announced at 6238 last night. Come on! Fudge the shot clock if you want, but don't insult our intelligence.

The attendance monitors have arrived, do you not have anything better to do?

I read that Sloboshan is released and waiting for a trade, Morriseau was ill and Oksansen was injured (same with Paddock-apparent concussions).

Very good game last night. Attendance was better than I thought it would be considering the cold. Good to see.

GO Pats!

….it's good we won but a bit surprising as well. 4 goals on 27 shots including a couple soft ones. Paddock must see that he has a big problem that doesn't seem to be getting any better. We were lucky they had their second stringer in net...

Lol...even when Pats win there are still some that complain about goaltending. Someone please give me the definition of a "soft" goal!
A goal scored on a screened shot is not soft; neither is a goal that is deflected. If they are then there are a ton of "soft" goals in the NHL as well. Dont listen to Warren Woods tweets 😊
A very well attended game for sure...well done Regiment! I was there so dont comment if you weren't.
Legein looked good...has size and showed some soft hands.

Mr. Wonderful # 11 there in the picture should be Coaching in the NHL . He seems to know everything and everything he corrects or comments on has to be right.

Attendance is based on number of tickets sold...not the number of butts in the seats.

The Regina Pats have practice Ice in their Mosaic Stadium dressing room, this will surely be the advantage for the win to the upcoming outdoor game. The flooding prep work took place last week at Mosaic and the Ice will be in fine shape for the game.
