HAMILTON - Hamilton quarterback Jeremiah Masoli threw for one touchdown and rushed for a 59-yard score as the Tiger-Cats defeated the Montreal Alouettes 33-0 at Tim Hortons Field Friday night.

Montreal's TJ Graham had a 79-yard punt return to the end zone called back for holding in the game's final minute to preserve the shutout. Montreal hadn't been kept off the scoreboard since a 32-0 loss to Edmonton on July 17, 1997.

Luke Tasker, Brandon Banks, and Alex Green also scored Hamilton touchdowns.

Hamilton kicker Kenny Allen made both field-goal attempts, from 24 and 39 yards.

Montreal kicker Tyler Russolino missed his lone field-goal attempt, from 43 yards.

Hamilton (6-12) and Montreal (3-15) are both out of the playoffs and have the worst records in the league this season.

So ends a bad, sad, sad season for Montreal and Durant. For Montreal it will continue through 2018 with Consequences Kavis Reed as the GM.
I sure hope Darian has an open mind for 2018 and signs somewhere else. He needs to high tail it out of Montreal. Hopefully Kavis cuts him lose and Dariannsigns somewhere that will allow him to compete for the starting role. No more given the starters position with a guarantee of 400K whether he plays or not. Darian needs some fire in his belly and I honestly think that making him compete each and every game for his pay check will bring back the fire. Heck I’ve seen that in the business I’m in. Take a solid employee who has all the tools but has become complacent because of guaranteed money and put them in a commission structure if they want to get paid and all of a sudden the fire is back. I’ve seen it first hand a couple times. If they fail badly at that point then they truly are finished.
I hope for Darian Durant sake he comes back alive and plays well for his team. Unless they are playing SK.
