Well that is a real confidence builde for this Team! Great comeback against the early #1 team in the WHL after they could have folded the tents going into the 3rd period down 3-1.
It's these types of wins early in the season (now 4 in a row now) that can adjust the attitude of the younger players into thinking "Hey we can play with these supposedly more skilled teams".
Was really impressed with the D again last night especially with 2 (Mahura; Zamula) of the top 6 out of the lineup. My guy, Creta (#1 Star) gets his first and the winning goal with a great pinch play late in the game... that is JP's style of play for sure, and JP had a lot of praise for him after the game.
If not for the 2 "dumb penalties" (JP's words not mine and he named names as well) this game might not have been close from my viewpoint. Royals have a fast team and especially like the long breakout passes up the middle, but thought the Pats defended well and also showed that they have a lot of quick players to defend and back check. Something I didn't think we would be as good at this early in the campaign.
The secondary line scoring has also been a bright spot during this short wining streak with Oksanen quieted down somewhat we have had other unsung players stepping up with key goals. Bradley continues to impress me (11 goals already) and makes it easier to forget Dawson Leedahl who was a great all round player and leader for this team.

It would be great to stick another W before the upcoming road trip so lets go gettum tonight boys!

Oh yea BTW another sellout last night..The Regiment rules!

Followed up on Saturday with a terrible Pats performance at the old Brandt. Looks more and more like last season was the peak for this team.
