Risky business yanking your tender late in the game on the PP to have a 6 on 4 opportunity in a tied game...glad the hockey gods agreed

The video Montague accompanying last year's much better opening song were a reminder of how special that team was. It's going to be a tall order to even approach that level this season with current personal
Also it sure would be nice in a memorial cup year to have a better song after a goal is scored then the totally unmemorable bland techno they use now. Pats should watch a Dallas Stars game and see their fan interactive goal celebrations or the Blackhawks in their cup years

Mention it to the powers that be Rod.. new goal song!!

Fantastic fast-paced game last night. Goaltenders "stole the show" so to speak. Both tenders worthy of Star status for sure. Wheaties were on a roll so very good to see the Pats' effort in this game and knock them down a bit. Another kudu for Creta's gritty game, and for a young guy Zamula is sure holding his own. Poised, with very few mistakes in any game so far.

Sounds like injury not serious to Mahura, or Holmes according to JP post-game comments....let's hope.

On the 5 minute call to Wheaties on Holmes hit...they called it Boarding (after a long discussion) but I would have thought Interference was more in line based on where the hit took place on the ice, and the fact that Holmes did not have he puck. I didn't think it was from behind, but yes did cause Holmes to slide awkwardly into the boards.
My thought - IF Holmes isn't injured, or gets up relatively quickly, there is likely no call, or at most 2 minutes for "something". It seems that the "sentence" depends on the resulting affect on the player hit, not just on the "crime" committed - not sure that is the way it should be. Others thoughts?...maybe from someone who officiates Hockey regularly.

Chippa - you want a new goal the Pats organization yourself Why put it on Roddy?

With the Royals rolling in on a high here Friday night it will be another great game I am sure. Get your tickets soon Regiment!

Go Pats Go!
