ALOUETTES FREE WILLY

MONTREAL - The Montreal Alouettes signed veteran quarterback Drew Willy to a one-year contract Monday.

Hope he does well. Just NOT AGAINST THE RIDERS. I think his issues are with confidence. He just wasn't the same after the concussions in Winnipeg.

hes better than Bridge. Riders should have signed him.

Good sign, he also comes with the Argos Playbook, they will pick his brains when the face their division rivals. Willy could have had great numbers in Winnipeg if he wasn't injured. Reunion with Durant will be a great tandem.

Better than Bridge? What? More experienced but in my opinion not better. Bridge has huge upside. Willy? What you see is what you get. Never the same after injury. If he was so good how come Toronto dumped him?

They'll need him next week when Durant goes down.

Wow. That didn't take long hey

Trestman will mentor him the way Trestman does.

How? Trestman is with Toronto...

Maybe Vernon Adams Jr. can be picked up now that Willy signed in Montreal. Then we can have all of last years Als quarterbacks (expect Cato).

Did "the football gods" orchestrate this?

Willy better than Bridge, damn Rod when did this become a comedy page..

Love the 'Football God comment" Darian is just a bitter player. May say all the correct things, but in the end it all comes out just how butter he is

Yup! That's why they signed him!

The headline is an overused pun and only made sense when he was released.
I think Reed was a little nervous when Durant went down in camp. QB depth has become a requirement with Durant.

Darian's leg must be dinged up more than the Alouettes have let on.

If by "butter", you mean he's smooth, then u got that right! Sounds to me like you're bitter that he got the "w" over chris jones.

Fact: Chris Jones record as a GM is now 5-14. Pretty dismal, not even remotely successful.

Saskatchewan Roughriders owned the rights to
Cato at one time.

Not bitter at all.. Darian is a good quarterback, just over rated. After 2 major injuries, it was fair to ask for play for pay.. He did not want that and that is why he moved.

Chris Jones record, keep in mind this is the START of year 2 of a Major rebuild..You will see improved performance this year..
