Explain suspended please?

Still 55 on the roster, the injury list must be up next.

I thought Allen did quite well, and i thought walden did a good job returning. The others were no surprise. Wonder why picton is on suspended list.
Shocked that stoshak didnt do better in the game, because he had a good camp.

Suspended? Please explain!

Anonymous said...

Using the suspended list to hide players - just jones playing loose with the rules AGAIN!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Still 8 players to go. I suspect injuries. Why are we not informed about them?

Anonymous said...

stoshak is a surprise but I guess someone had to go

There is still 55 players on the roster. Did the Regina Thunder player Brendon Philogene make the team or is he going back to Junior?

I am thinking Cam Marshall and Anthony Allen were too similar in style to both be kept on the roster. We have Morris and Lafrance both nationals, who give us a change up back. Also, I would not be shocked to see Shakir Bell make his way to Rider Nation.

Sign these two free agent rbs - Marion Grice, Jacobi Greene. You won't be sorry Sk.

BIT SURPRISED TO SEE ALLEN CUT... ISN;T EVERYONE ELSE INJURED... TOUGH PILL FOR STOSHAK... HE SEEMED TO MAKE SOME NICE PLAYS.

TOO BAD BENNETT WASNT ABLE TO STEP UP IN THE PRE SEASON GAMES, IT SOUNDED LIKE HE HAD BEEN LIGHTING IT UP IN CAMP. IS HE IN THE RUNNING FOR THE TERRANCE NUNN AWARD? OR DOES HE HAVE TO MAKE IT TO THE SHOW BEFORE HE CAN DROP THE BALL AND EARN THE HONOUR?

Cutting Stoshak was a huge mistake, Jones is clueless

Anonymous said...

Do NOT even think about bringing Argos QB cut Drew Willy back to Sask

Anonymous said...

What does suspended mean for those players? Can they return to school?

Anonymous said...

Because it is none of your business.

Anonymous said...

Willy has been freed at last. Bring him back to the Sea of Green!!

Anonymous said...

Lets see now, Ottawa has missed the deadline for the roster cut-down. Will the Champs be fined, or because their GM is not named Chris Jones they will be given a free pass on ignoring this rule?

Anonymous said...

Suspended list is for the three draft picks to return to school. the other guy is at home tending to family matters.

Anonymous said...

Drew Willy has been cut by the Argos. Should we bring him in?

Anonymous said...

Bryan Bennett, #1 Candidate for the Terrance Nunn award hands down. Stoshak is #2. Stoshak was in tough with some established players. Too bad about Anthony Allen. tbhought Walden played really well as well. What happens sometimes is they are offered Pratise roster spots and decline so they are let go. Could be the case with Allen and Walden???

Porridge not around anymore to deliver swift cfl justice. REDBLACKS taking liberties.

Anonymous said...

They let anonymous know, must have been the wrong anonymous...

Anonymous said...

Time for a class action by Riders against the league for uneven application of fines. Are there any merchants in town ready to take on the case ?

Anonymous said...

Guessing Stoshak stays in some fashion. Agree with the guy who says they should take a look at Grice.

Anthony Allen is choked if you see his Twitter account.

The circus starts its summer long run Monday at Mosaic. Git your popcorn ready!

As we were told last yr the teams just have to give the cuts to the CFL, they don't have to announce them to the public the same day.

Is this judge gonna decide to show up anytime soon?

Good morning Rod

A real short week for the Riders to get ready for the Al's.

I wasn't shocked by the cuts,#68 Coleman is still around and that one is a shocker.I am not saying King was the man either.

Our D back field has some holes,OC McAdoo needs to get that running game going or we will be picking KG off the rug constantly.
This short week will tell us a lot about our character, and I hope it don't put us in back peddle for the rest of the season.

Going to Wanda's Wednesday nite might not be a good idea either.

Now that Willy is cut in toronto look for the Argos to trade for Franklin from the Eskies and name him their starter for next year after Ray retires in offseason as they are the only team needing a starting QB as the riders are locked in on Glenn for years to come as Im sure that Franklin would not want to come here

It is laughable that Anthony Allen is mad. Riders lose Lafrance and thomas during camp. Both of whom are expected back. Allen wasnt ahead of marshall in camp or either preseason game. So really he's fourth on depth and equal too morris who is canadian.

Allen likely needs a reality check.

What was Bingham's injury again?

Anonymous said...

D backfield is questionable. Linebacking is questionable. Dline looks good. Good receivers. Oline, one injury from the worst in the league, AGAIN. No run game. About the 8th best QB in the league, maybe 9th with questionable backups. Yuck.

Does anyone really know the status of Cameron Judge, Riders' 1st pick in 2017 Draft (stashed in "injured" list?)???

Anonymous said...

Kevin Glenn Starter? Another Long Year Ahead.

Anonymous said...

I like Kevin Glenn and will not besmirch his reputation, but he is a back-up QB. He would be a great mentor and valuable asset to a young QB.

I'm pretty sure that our management is aware of the QB shortcomings and will be doing something about it. I think a major trade will happen sooner than later.

Pre-season means very little. Many teams haven't won a pre-season game and then win a Grey Cup. It's just a method to let players play themselves off the team.

It simply disgusting how before even one regular season snap, the "TROLLS" are out in full force. They really are a contemptible bunch, with no redeeming qualities. Most are probably angry they over fried their bologna and their PIL wasn't as cold as they like. When you have little knowledge and no scruples, all they do is spew out thrash and idiocy.

Anonymous said...

Little knowledge and no scruples, all they do is spew out thrash and idiocy = Blog Hits = $$$$ for Pedersen. Simple formula for success.

Anonymous said...

When will the mouth breathers get the message Cameron Judge will be here when he completes his obligations at university. This has been stated time and again by Jones, Murphy, Rod and how many others. Remember he is an unproven rookie, therefore when he does arrive he will not be the entire salvation of what is lacking on the team.

Riders going 11-7..2nd in west..

Anonymous said...

any you are likely referring to a guy named Horsieland (or nhenheincongnito, or stampland) as he relentlessly appears on 3downnation. The guy is the biggest doufus on the cfl sites and should be banned. In fact, write into 3down and ask him to be banned. With no where to go, he may just disappear then.

Anonymous said...

Yes, Cam Judge flew up to BC and joined the team there. He will be at practice tomorrow and hopefully the media scrum can get some quotes. By the way, any word on what time practice starts and if it is open to fans?

Anonymous said...

Management is the reason that there are QB shortcomings. So, I would hope they are aware of those shortcomings. If a major trade to stabilize the qb position is needed, then perhaps Jones should admit that his decision to release Durant, without any viable alternatives in place was a rookie mistake by a rookie GM.

Saskatchewan 14 - 4 this regular season. Mark that down in your buffoon pea-brains.

Agreed, starred in camp, better then alot left

Like Allen. But if you are short on RBs you bring someone in. If he excelled he would be here. Of course feel for the guy but .....

Anonymous said...

The Riders ran the ball 19 times over 2 preseason games. 19! How do you evaluate anyone that way? Allen had 1 of their 5 attempts against BC and had 6 rushes vs. WPG with a 5 yard per rush average. Why did Jones bother wasting Allen's time?

This is another year with uncertainty, inexperience and change in the backfield and they don't bother running the ball in the preseason. Yet another head scratcher from this coaching staff.

Bingham had knee surgery and was announced as out for 3 wks.

Pass the cookie ! I need some too! You might get takers who'd bet you that they're closer to
4 -14 and even even up would be long shot!

"Lets see now, Ottawa has missed the deadline for the roster cut-down. Will the Champs be fined, or because their GM is not named Chris Jones they will be given a free pass on ignoring this rule?"

Silly. The Redblacks submitted them by the deadline, they just chose to not ANNOUNCE them until Sunday. That's how we knew (by Saturday) that Shakir Bell hadn't been kept, for instance.
