SUNDAY SPORTS

The Nashville Predators are one win away from their first appearance in a Stanley Cup final. Pontus Aberg scored his first career playoff goal with 8:59 to play, and Nashville beat the Ducks 3-1 in Anaheim for a 3-2 lead in the Western Conference final. The Predators will have a chance to close out the series at home on Monday night.

---

Alex DeBrincat opened the scoring, then assisted on Dylan Strome's go-ahead goal early in the third period as Erie beat the Seattle Thunderbirds 4-2 on Saturday in Windsor in the first game for both teams at the 2017 Memorial Cup.

Seattle faces the host Windsor Spitfires (1-0-0) on Sunday. Erie plays the QMJHL's Saint John Sea Dogs (0-1-0) on Monday.

---

Kevin Durant had 33 points and 10 rebounds and the Golden State Warriors beat the injury-riddled San Antonio Spurs 120-108 to take a 3-0 lead in the Western Conference Finals. Golden State has a chance to complete its third straight series sweep in Game 4 on Monday night. The Warriors are the third team in NBA history to win their first 11 playoff games.

---

Welington Castillo did it again. Castillo hit a go-ahead home run for the second consecutive game to lead the Baltimore Orioles past the Toronto Blue Jays 7-5. Castillo went deep with a three-run shot off Toronto reliever Danny Barnes in the seventh after the Blue Jays had taken a 5-4 lead on a Jose Bautista homer. Castillo also hit a walk-off homer in extras last night.

---

Christian Arroyo's two-run double broke a scoreless tie and the San Francisco Giants beat the St. Louis Cardinals 3-1 in 13 innings. Arroyo's double off the wall in left field scored Buster Posey and Brandon Crawford. The game was stopped for 42 minutes after the 10th inning for a rain delay.
