2017 REGINA RED SOX TO BOAST LOCAL TALENT

The 2017 Regina Red Sox will have at least seven Saskatchewan born players on their WMBL roster.

Strasbourg’s Jordan Schulz will return for his sixth season with the Red Sox. Schulz, a senior at Minot State, hit .296 with six doubles, four triples and 15 RBI last season for Regina.

2017 marks Lumsden’s Geordie McDougall’s fifth season in the WMBL. McDougall, a sophomore at Minot State, chipped in nine walks and eight RBI in 61 at bats.

Infielder Luke Lubiniecki saw limited action in his first two WMBL seasons. The native of Regina, and Taft Community College freshman, looks to make an impact in the 2017 campaign.

2017 will be pitcher Chase Nistor’s third season with Regina. The Regina product is currently a  sophomore from Taft Community College and  saw action in seven WMBL games in 2016. He also had nine strikeouts in 15 innings.

Jeremy Sylvestor returns to the Red Sox after a one year leave of absence. In 2015, the Senior from Minot State pitched in 19 games and registered 23 strikeouts and a 3.20 ERA.

Left-handed pitcher Kendal Daniels rejoins the Red Sox after missing the 2016 season.  Daniels, a senior at Minot State, saw action in 26 games and had two saves in 20 innings during the 2015 campaign.

Northern Oklahoma College freshman Griffin Keller, a native of Pilot Butte, will make his WMBL debut with the Red Sox in 2017.
