LETHBRIDGE, Alta. - Adam Brooks and Connor Hobbs each had a goal and two assists as the Regina Pats downed the Lethbridge Hurricanes 6-2 on Wednesday in Western Hockey League playoff action.

Regina evened the Eastern Conference final 2-2 and will host Game 5 on Friday.

Braydon Buziak, Jeff de Wit, Dawson Leedahl and Wyatt Sloboshan also scored for the Pats, who got a 24-save outing from Tyler Brown.

Dylan Cozens and Ryan Vandervlis found the back of the net for the Hurricanes. Stuart Skinner stopped 28-of-33 shots in a losing cause.

Regina went 1 for 4 on the power play while Lethbridge failed to score on two chances with the man advantage.

Game 5 Friday is already soldout. It can be heard on 620 CKRM radio, and viewed on the WHL on Shaw and Access 7.

This is far from over. Lethbridge will start getting healthier and that will make them a stronger team. Will likely go 7 games and may the better team win. Great exciting junior hockey.

Much better effort last night, good to see the boys pull out a huge win! Keep the momentum going and rock the Brandt Centre tomorrow night! Go Pats!!

That video feed out of Lethbridge was awful...

Good job Pats, and also save of the 2017 WHL playoffs for Skinner

Lethbridge is not the only team hurting. In fact Tuesday's score 3-1 wasn't the only loss for the Pats that evening.
Just a premonition that the Pats will finish this series in 6 games. The same medium said the Pats would come back from a 3-1 deficit and beat Swift Current in 7.
We shall see.

Reveen ... The legend continuous.

This is great hockey! Great to see a better outing from the Pats and Lethbridge is not making anything easy! Tied series 2-2 and they very much seem to be playing at an equal level. Neither team can afford to let up.

Boom shakalacka!!! Haters silenced! Pats win big baby!!!

Everyone talking about the Lethbridge injuries. How about Brooks and Steel playing hurt? how about Leshychyn ? How about Ahl coming off the mumps?

Now its a best of three and the Pats have home ice advantage.

Tyler Wong is a very good hockey player but last year (on April 1st) when the Pats put them away he took a run at (think Wagner) and was suspended a game for chicken s**t hockey. Last night the same chicken s**t hockey with the cross check to the face of Ledahl.

Pats handing out any more towels? We can give them to Tyler Wong for all the crying he does.

Wags maybe returns Friday but DeWit filled in well.
No depth....hmmmm.
Buziak gets 1st goal;DeWit gets 2nd goal; 3rd line solid.
I rest my case!

Tenders stole the show again last night. This is good.

Go Pats Go!

After losing game seven maybe Regina can challenge the series claiming they scored more goals.

Looking for the no character/grit/depth guys...I see they're not on here today. Probably because the Pats won a crucial game 4, on the road, without Wagner, with goals by DeWit and Sloboshan, to get home-ice advantage back. Is that enough character, grit and depth for you?

Brown's 2nd goal was a softie, but after it was tied 2-2 he didn't allow any more goals whereas Skinner was beat for 3.

And Wong is exactly what Paddock said he was - a great player who plays on the edge and sometimes crosses the line, like when he tried to give Leedahl some free dental work with his stick near the end of the 3rd period.

Tyler Wong is a classless loser. Dishing out cross checks to the face is bush league garbage. Follows it up by throwing a full blown temper tantrum about getting his finger bit (which was a lie to begin with!!) I thought he was telling the ref to smell his finger at first! :D

I am thinking it is going to be extra loud Friday night, especially when Tyler Wong handles the puck. He is frustrated and his short fuse is going to cost the Canes bigly. I am hoping they review the cross check to the face; Wong may have a holiday come Friday.

The Pats are who we thought they are .. is... was ... Da Best!

At first it looked like Wong was complaining he broke a nail!

Lol that's what I was going to say.

To the person who commented on the last loss...

"The Pats are who we thought they are..."

Yes. Yes they most definitely are. Ha ha.

I feel like this series turned last night.

Pats in six.

If you stick your finger in a guy's mouth, you should expect it to get bitten. What you doing Wong, applying dental floss? Then the guy whines to the referee to look at my finger. Big baby.

Lethbridge have all there players back but 1. Wagner said he's playing Friday. Should be a good one, keep crashing the net and get those juicy rebounds skinner is kicking out.

Steel is hurt? What's the injury? Ahl came back fairly quick last series for someone who had the mumps - do you have confirmation of that?

If Tyler Wong was so good a hockey player, what the hell is he still doing playing the Dub at age 21? Got Damn! In my day not so long ago I was playing senior hockey at the age of 13 just for sh*ts and giggles and the excercise. Wong not good enough for minor pro, pathetic! Pats club need to put this guy on ice, literally.

Mr. Roofing the puck to the back of the net, all day long.

Why are you still here. You should be out golfing with Manny Viverous

A few observations: (1) Skinner did make a circus save but there was a also small crack in the dam so to speak, as some pucks went in that he may have stopped other nights. Do not get me wrong; he was great but not out of this world. And Brown made a big save on the breakaway as well as a few others at crucial times, such that even if the second goal was a little soft, overall, it was another very good outing for him. (2) As to players like Wong, and even though he seems like a nice kid off the ice, live by the sword die by the sword. (3) As long as Regina comes out strong and wins Game 5, I think they may be able to weather this storm. Unlike Game 3, during the game last night, they were able to capitalize when putting the pressure on the Canes in their own end. In addition, it seemed as if they got some puck luck which had been missing. (5) It would be nice to see the Pats get back to WHL Finals. They should stack up well against the winner of Seattle or Kelowna, but it would be yet another tough series. Hopefully, the corner has been turned, as it was just way too long for this franchise to stumble along in mediocrity under the former regime, in a market the size of Regina and with a decent fan base, in a part of the world where hockey is so popular, and where there is no other major competition for the hockey dollar like what exists in some of the other major centres in western Canadian that have an NHL team. (6) Despite the above, and to respond to a comment made a few days ago, with the greatest of respect, I would take the 2015 Kelowna WHL championship team (Draisytl, Morrissey and Co.) and the Brandon Wheat Kings WHL championship team last year (Provorov, Quennville, Hawryluk, Patrick, Duke and Co.) over this year's Regina squad. Close but I would give the nod to these two smaller cities and teams in Kelowna and Brandon where, like it or not, they have good hockey people in charge who are always working and committed to delivering a good team year in and year out.

Tyler will make all you thin skinned Pats losers Wong as he goes on to lead Lethbridge to the next round.
Go Hurricanes.

I don't think he's playing game five. Apperently something is Wong with his finger

The Lethbridge Hurricanes have been now downgraded to a Tropical Depression and that is how they will feel like in a couple of days after losing to the Pats, very depressed. Nothing but sunny skies ahead for the Regiment.

Yup... after Lethbridge was SKINNER alive by the Pats on Wednesday evening. The Hurricanes went back to the drawing board to figure out what went WONG. They don't want to BOWen down just yet. So the Coach said, RIDDLE me this; is this our last SWAN song. I say no, so let's go all President REAGAN over them and kick their ass. No more LYONS to ourselves. Let's show everyone we are the KING.
