The Pacific Division is tight. Drake Caggiula and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins each had a goal and an assist as the Oilers moved into a three-way tie with San Jose and Anaheim for first place in the division with a 4-1 victory over the Avalanche. San Jose had a firm grip on top spot, but have lost six in a row after its 7-2 loss to Nashville.

A few extra minutes of hockey is no problem for the Flames. Sean Monahan scored with three seconds left in overtime, lifting Calgary over the Blues 3-2 in St. Louis. Brian Elliott made 29 saves against his former team as the Flames improved to 13-and-4 in overtime this season.

The Raptors are heading back to the playoffs. Serge Ibaka and DeMar DeRozan each had 18 points as the Raptors clinched a playoff spot with a 94-86 win over the Mavericks in Dallas. Toronto will be in the post-season for the fourth year in a row. That's a franchise record for consecutive playoff appearances.

John Wall scored 37 points, Bradley Beal added 27 and the Wizards began a challenging road trip by beating the Cavaliers 127-115. Washington's victory cut Cleveland's lead in the Eastern Conference to a half-game over idle Boston. The Raptors are a game behind Washington for third in the East.

The first two spots in the NCAA's Final Four are taken. Canada's Dillon Brooks had 17 points as Oregon knocked off Kansas 74-60. Meanwhile, Nigel Williams-Goss scored 23 points and top-seeded Gonzaga routed Number 11 Xavier 83-59 for its first trip to the Final Four in program history.

Boston lefty David Price has been given the green light to increase his throwing activity. Price felt discomfort in his elbow the day after pitching two innings of a simulated game February 28th. There's still no timetable for his return to game activity.
