TORONTO - Josh Donaldson came home from second base on an errant double play attempt in the 10th inning to give the Toronto Blue Jays a dramatic 7-6 win over the Texas Rangers and a sweep of the American League Division Series on Sunday.

Donaldson opened the 10th with a double off hard-throwing Matt Bush and Edwin Encarnacion was intentionally walked, cranking up the noise in a sold-out Rogers Centre.

After Jose Bautista struck out, Russell Martin - in an eight-pitch at-bat - hit into what seemed to be an inning ending-double play. But Rougned Odor bounced the throw to first and a diving Donaldson beat Mitch Moreland's desperate throw to home.

The Toronto dugout emptied. Texas challenged the play to no avail and the celebration was on.

The Jays will face either Boston or Cleveland in the AL Championship Series.

Canada's team in MLB for sure.
Considering Canada only has ONE team in MLB it's pretty hard not to be the team that all of Canada cheers for. Except those who have their favourite American teams. Not all of them but probably a lot of the same Canadians that cheer against the Jays also spout off about the NFL over the CFL. Canadian American wannabes.
Like a majority of Canadians I'm happy for the Jays. They played extremely well in this series and deserved the sweep. I sure enjoyed the large sign in the stadium that stated... It's better to get punched in May than to be knocked out in October... Combine that direct message to Odor (pronounced (smelly Odor) with Odor's errant throw to 1st base. Not only Batesta but Jay fans in general received the ultimate in retribution. The satisfaction Odor felt in May when he got in his sucker punch. Can't be half the high compared to the present low he must be feeling now. Break out the golf clubs in Texas Odor. You have a long time to think about that throw you make 200 times a season. Except when it counted the most.

Some of us have cheered for other teams all our lives. Why would we change now. I see NY Sox Tigers Giants fans all around this country. Cards Cubs Dodgers as well. All of Canada does not get giddy over the Jays Sorry Mr Rogers.
