CALGARY - Rookie receiver DaVaris Daniels caught the first CFL touchdown pass of his career from Bo Levi Mitchell, and Rene Paredes kicked five field goals as the Calgary Stampeders beat the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 30-24 on Sunday night.

Mitchell was 27 of 37 passing for 323 yards and the one touchdown. Jerome Messam also ran for a TD as the Stampeders (7-1-1) won their sixth in a row while extending their unbeaten streak to eight games.

The last time the Stamps accomplished that feat was when they had a 10-game unbeaten streak over two seasons that ended in August of 1995. The last time they went eight games without losing in the same season was when they won eight in a row from July 16 to Sept. 5, 1994.

Hamilton quarterback Zach Collaros threw a pair of touchdown passes to Terrence Toliver and another one to Luke Tasker, while Brett Maher kicked a field goal for the Tiger-Cats (4-5).

Daniels gave the Stampeders great field position in the first quarter when he blocked a punt by Maher. The Stamps started their subsequent drive on the Hamilton 43-yard line and seven plays later Paredes kicked a 13-yard field goal to give Calgary a 3-0 lead at 7:46.

Despite being penalized five times on their next drive, the Ticats still managed to score as Toliver caught a 21-yard touchdown pass from Collaros. The 15-play, 90-yard drive took nearly seven minutes.

Calgary is a darn good team and Bo is working on being the MOP this year but hopefully there's a team that can beat them. Probably my least favorite team in th CFL.

They can stick those coaches and players Mikes you know where. You get the players yapping the coaches yapping the play by play yapping and the referee yapping is enough to drive you bonkers. Enough Already.

Just have to remember what happened to Collaros last year to realize that Calgary is one injury away from having their great start to the season getting flushed down the toilet
