RIDERS SIGN KENDIAL LAWRENCE

The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced today international free agent receiver/returner Kendial Lawrence has signed with the team. As per club policy, details of the contract were not released.
Lawrence (5'9 – 195) has signed with the Riders after spending the last two seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos. He originally entered the CFL with Hamilton Tiger-Cats in September, 2013.
Through his first three seasons, Lawrence has played 35 regular season games totaling 562 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 95 carries and 778 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 78 receptions. He has also added 59 kickoff returns for 1,359 yards and two touchdowns, and 142 punt returns for 1,410 yards and one touchdown. He has spent time at both receiver and running back.
Last season, Lawrence played 17 regular season games and was a key component in the Eskimos post-season run.
He won his first Grey Cup championship with Edmonton in 2015.

Great signing, with the absence of Dressler and Jackson this fills the kick return slot very well! Plus the added bonus of putting him in as a running back, very versatile, I like it!

#Riders send a 3rd round 2016 #CFL Draft pick to #Argos for OL Bruce Campbell.

Giving up a Canadian draft pick for a unproven american OL ??????

The way things are going perhaps we'll see the Edmonton Roughriders vs. the Saskatchewan Blue Bombers in the Grey Cup next November…

This is a great signing. Versatile, can run it, catch it and return it!!! A Jock Sanders type player, but better and still in the prime of his career.

Says the "unproven" American O lineman started last year in TO sounds like a good trade to me.

The Jones/Murphy haters are back in Edmonton cheering their team's signing of JC Sherritt.

Really !!!!!!

Why are you and others so happy to settle for the leftovers that no one else wants.

Get Real

Free agency is not leftovers. These are players testing the market to get their actual worth. We are real and this is some REAL talent coming to Saskatchewan! Must be an old boys club member that would rather have the team in the basement and hold on to every player then move forward and win games.

Massive - have you noticed that no one else is going after these players including the teams they were on in 2015.

You really don't know how free agency works do you?
