PRESTIGE FC SASK MMA NEWS

Prestige FC has added to its already stacked lineup for Prestige FC 2: Queen City Coronation with a second title fight that will crown the queen of its featherweight division.

Hometown fan favorite Charmaine “Not So Sweet” Tweet (7-5) will vie for the title against Jessy “The Widowmaker” Miele (5-2) as Prestige FC hands out its first two titles. The other title fight will declare the king of the featherweight division as Kurt “The Hurt” Southern squares off against Nick “Nyquil” Rhoads (all bouts pending ACS approval).

Prestige FC 2: Queen City Coronation presented by 104.9 The Wolf takes place on Saturday, March 12th, at the George Reed Auditorium inside The Orr Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Tickets can be purchased by calling Regina Tickets at (306) 515-4333 or in person at The Orr Centre box office. VIP Tables & Tickets are exclusively available by calling (306) 580-0340.

Tweet, who is ranked No. 7 in the world by www.mmarising.com and No. 8 in the world by www.fightmatrix.com, picked up her second straight TKO victory when she dusted Anna Barone in the first round of their trilogy fight at Prestige FC 1 back in October. A winner in three of her last four outings, Tweet (Twitter: @notsosweetmma) has five victories via submission on her career docket.

The 38-year-old remains the only woman who has fought both the phenomenal Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino and former UFC champion Ronda Rousey.

A native of Prospect, Connecticut, Miele (Twitter: @jessymiele), who is ranked No. 15 in the world by www.mmarising.com, has posted three submission wins and has already started 2016 on the right note with a victory coming on Jan. 2. Over the course of 2014 and 2015, the 28-year-old manufactured a four-fight winning streak that included back-to-back victories over Lissette Neri.

A bright new star has joined the Prestige FC team.

Kayla Tait will make her debut as a ring card girl for the organization on Saturday, March 12th at Prestige FC 2: Queen City Coronation presented by 104.9 The Wolf. Kayla will be part of all Prestige FC 2 events including the official weigh-in and after-party.

Kayla has been a competitive bikini athlete for six years and is a sponsored athlete representing Magnum Nutraceuticals. A week before Prestige FC 2, Kayla will be taking her talents to Columbus, Ohio, to compete in the prestigious Arnold Classic bodybuilding event.

Kayla hails from Swift Current, Sask., where her family farm and horses are, but she now calls Regina home and is a personal trainer at Adrenaline Training. As expected, her passions revolve around being active especially practicing yoga and running trails with her dog Legion.

“I love training and working with my competitive athletes on Team Body You Envision,” said Kayla, adding that she’d like to be an IFBB (International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness) Pro and get the opportunity to compete on the athletic game show American Ninja Warrior.

There are few things better in MMA than two big dudes slugging it out.

Prestige FC 2: Queen City Coronation presented by 104.9 The Wolf has made sure that fight fans will see a real slugfest between a pair of sizable foes.

It’s an opportunity for both men to do what they do best – strike.

Five of Campbell’s seven career wins have come by way of knockout and four of those victories have been posted inside the opening round.

Amyotte is no stranger to quick wins. In fact, all three of his wins have come by first-round knockout in a total elapsed time of less than six minutes.

Both fighters also expect to have good-sized cheering sections on their side. Campbell, who hails from Calgary, Alberta, has family in southern Saskatchewan, while Amyotte, who fights out of Cold Lake, Alberta, is originally from Manitoba and has friends and fans coming from across the Prairies.

George Reed Auditorium inside The Orr Centre in Regina, Sask. ???

Okay, I really have been away from Regina for too many years... I have not heard of either of these places (although likely just new names for old places)...

Best buffet in town at the Orr center - the Caribbean buffet Thursdays at noon - fabulous!

It is a very good Buffet there, but some loser NDP has an office there too to sour the feel of place.

While speaking of Kayla, you conveniently forgot about former U of R soccer player Megan Cormier who will also be serving as a ring girl. As someone who sees her on a regular basis, you should put her pic up to sell some tickets to this event as well.

CMON PEDERSON!!!
