The most overrated player in the CFL

The Fan, starring (RODPEDERSEN.COM)
THE WOZ as Gil Renard.

Interesting how the American players rarely mention something Canadian that is their fave.

Nice tripping penalty last game.

Riders couldn't stop the run - any idea why all you knowledgeable fans? Was it "Corey Chamblins defence" or the fact the team has been forced to play a 189 pound player at linebacker because of a disgusting amount of injuries. Anybody that thinks Brackenridge can play in the box over time needs their head read, led by Glen Suitor!

By comparison Adam Bighill, Solomon Elimimian, Simoni Lawrence, Shea Emry are all at or right around 230 pounds playing tight inside the box where Brack got swallowed up in the second half.

Shea Emery? Roughriders haven't seen hide nor hair of that dude for awhile. He's disappeared just like his playing career. Another bad trade on the gm.

First 5 comments show a total lack of class but then what else would you expect from that segment of Classless Rider Fans. It's not #41s fault he has to play linebacker because our GM can't find anyone. Thanks Brack for your commitment to the Riders. Please ignore the a..holes that post stupidity.

Did You see the interception?!!
I agree with Anonymous #7. The Riders Really need their True Fans right now Not "fans" that are going to pick on them when they are struggling. They are playing hard but can't get the win.

Anonymous said...

How close will Chamblin get this week ????????

Anonymous said...

Stamps replacement o-line beats the crap out of Chamblin's starting D-line.

But they were close ....

Anonymous said...

Wow, the sapheads really come out of the woodwork with stupid comments when the Riders are facing adversity.

Anonymous said...

pick on them when they are struggling? are we being bully's Shsirley? they are grown men getting paid to play pro football. as a fan you are allowed to voice your displeasure. you are allowed to be mad when your team is 0-8. typical sasky attitude, oh those poor boys can't seem to get a win, just keep trying boys....you can do it. pretty pathetic but that is the majority of rider fans, sad and pathetic just like their team.

"voice your displeasure"

Sure, why not, whatever ..., opinions are like a**holes, everyone knows one, everyone has one.

I have never read a blog filled with so many idiots. Sorry Rod but the intelligence and ignorance of your readers/posters is embarrassing and you have no longer earned my attention and your sponsors have no longer earned my hard earned dollars. This is absolutely pathetic. This blog is officially off my reading list.

See you Kenny. We will miss you, whoever you are.

Kenny,

Why would you click on the comment section if it gets you upset?

Just read the blog - it is excellent - and leave the comment section to the article to those of us who like to duke it out in the comment trenches. It is completely harmless stuff, but if it causes you stress then, like anything else, just avoid it. But I am sure you will in time long for the comedy of Woz and Obama, and the tenacity of the haters who seem to live to trash someone be it Richie Hall, Chamblin, Taman, Hopson, Peters, Getzlaf, Macho, Scruffy etc.

Per a source, former Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd has signed to play with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League.

I for one will be happy to see Chamblin go. His overall record is dismal at best and at 0 - 8 speaks for itself. He seems to think that high school tactics will somehow win games and he is a terrible defensive coach let alone a terrible head coach. He only won a GC because he had a team of all stars. No all stars and he is lost. I could go on and on about why he needs to be let go but I think the evidence is obvious. Remember this is not a personality contest.

So now Mr. Anonymous you are calling me Pathetic. You don't even know me. Says A Lot about You !!!
I won't bother commenting on this site any more. I don't believe I attacked anyone for their opinions.
BYE ROD

Gee whiz Shirley, don't be so thin skinned! If some anonymous yahoo gives you the gears, just give it right back to them.

Everyone posting here knows nothing about the 'real' person posting so it is only the expressed OPINION that is being subject to agreement, disagreement, attack, ridicule, endorsement or none of the above. Also, if someone can't spell your name or write something coherent, you may want to take their silly post with less than a grain of salt.

Your,

Old Hank

If Boyd is indeed coming to Sask after being cut by the Steelers last week - and he has great credentials - then one would expect that Tino would be let go or, if he is to be added to the large QB group then there would seem to be an obvious need to hire a QB coach. Perhaps Kevin Glenn will retire and take over as the Rider's QB coach going forward? Brett Smith is proving to be a very promising QB for the Rider's future.

Chamblin SLAMS RoughRiders>>>>>

calls players, "REPLACEMENTS"

Chamblin owes players and fans a big apology!!!!!

Anonymous said...

The falling Canadian dollar has to be a real problem for the CFL's players and coaches from the USA. I hope it stops bleeding real soon or we can kiss goodbye to some NHL teams up here and trips down south which will hurt travel agents hard.

Getting more and more obvious Roddy that this is getting out of control and you need to institute a policy of registering and identifying commenters. Those exceeding the bounds of fair comment need to be given fair warning, then banned if they persist.
Yer getting lotsa traffic, but probably losing the most credible posters. Some real idiots seem to have found a playground!

Shirley White ... Hang around. Positives are so rare here. Dissing our team, players, coaches, etc has become a pastime. I am old enough to remember when I never heard any of our players booed in Taylor Field. (until after a run of ten winning years) There was this old fashioned thing called ... let me think now ... oh yeh ... good sportsmanship. (Did you know at one time the home team could get a penalty if the crowd made so much noise the opposing team couldn't hear the QB signals?) Then things change and many cliches took hold. Some think they are valid and others realize they are meant to motivate. Winning is the only thing. (No not ONLY) Doesnt matter what you did yesterday. (Yes it does) If you're not cheating you ain't winning. (Some live that way I guess) I paid my money so I have a right to ... fill in the blanks. (True and expressing opinion is a good thing) Problem is some use that to disparage others. But who knows what troubled lives some lead. It can bring out the worst in some but it comes with the territory. Become an anon and then it's not personal. (Or maybe the guy thinks you may be his boss)

Good for you Shirley, you said it good. I'm as old as you and I was there the day Bill Baker got his nickname (Baker the undertaker.) He took out three Eskimo quarterbacks(Bruce Lemmerman, Tom Wilkinson and someone else)in one game in the same fashion that Randy Richards hit that Calgary kick returner last week. Baker was a hero and he wasn't kicked out of the game, it was football. These guys today are a bunch pansies compared to the George Reed/Wayne Harris era and I've got a right to be pissed off with what the Roughriders are doing these days. I don't know if they are a bunch of weaklings or if it's the way they are coached but I do know the 1966 Roughrider could eat them for lunch.

Read a U.S. college item about Boyd coming to Sk. Appears they think he will be our starter. "Boyd’s new team in Saskatchewan has started the season 0-8, so he has a chance to make an immediate impact on a struggling team"

RP... A desperate Conservative (Republican) who simply does not understand politics nor it's relation to the athlete.

Rod you are one of the best announcers going, the sound of your voice on the broadcasts is awesome to say the least; including one of the most successful of sports shows in your hosting the Sportscage... As for your 'blind' Conservative Party following (or in the case of the United States - the Republicans), you simply have no clue.

Sorry man,

Your back yard

T Brack,

Thanks for all you have done...

And I will also like to take the opportunity to apologize for the mentally challenged rednecks who have an attention span of a mosquito. Please disregard there comments as they do not represent the majority of fans, especially those who have an actual functioning brain.

Keep up the great work, you have been one of the CFL finest defensive players since your arrival to Saskatchewan, keep up the great work!
