Overnight data from BBM Canada confirms that an average audience of 1.7 million Canadians watched Team Canada's New Year's Eve 3-2 victory over the United States, making it the most-watched program on Canadian television on New Year's Eve.
The audience peaked late in the third period with more than 2.8 million viewers as Team Canada held on to win the game.
Through Canada's four preliminary round games, TSN has attracted an average audience of 1.4 million viewers – a record audience for a non-North American World Juniors.
