Had an off year, but can you imagine him working with Kromau and Brackenridge???

Go get'm Brendan...

Cap said...

Like him but can't see it. Winnipeg or Toronto likely stops. We are good with Joe Lo.

Why would we want him, next.

Honest Abe Kromah is better and younger! Move on. We are already over the cap because we weren't patient enough to let Wally cut Geroy. Now we're stuk paying him $170 grand!

I've always found it interesting how every Rider fan knows everything... We're over the cap, this guy makes 170,000, etc, etc.... we all really know nothing (does that make me a know it all?), but like to communicate rumour and speculation as fact....

I used to really like Rey's play, but he's not worth the money anymore. He will go cheaper to another team. Best of luck!

Unless the above poster is one of Jim Hopson or Brendan Taman, he has no clue as to whether or not we are over the cap. Furthermore, he should do some research to realize the cap does not even come into effect until the season is started, so in reality we are not over the cap. Thanks for the effort though.

lets see, 200. each for labatt, pikard, at least 300+ for dariun, 190.+ simun, 90+andersin, 90+folly, and so on and so on, do the basic mathematics, ryders over the cap or close to it. where does that leave the team with regards to impending free agent camp signings?

To the above poster: do the math, that leaves the Riders with more than $3 million dollars to spend, which equates to quite a bit of money to spend if you ask me. Granted I am no mathematician, just like you who are no GM. Lastly, stop pulling salaries out of your ass; you have no clue who is making what.

To the above poster: Really now ! wait and see, community owned team with public accountable disclosure, annual audit will tell the story somewhere along the line. some people living with their head up there ass oblivious to CFL structure spending cap. and yes we have a clue as to what some make in salaries.

First things first, I think you mean 'their' ass refering to the individual in questions ass rather than the location of the said ass.
Secondly, sure you may have a clue or idea of the salary but to make the argument that you know for sure we are over the cap is ridiculous considering there is NO cap until the season starts. Be honest, you don't know, may have a good estimate but really have no conrete number as to the wage of the players.

In addition if you look at the 2011/2012 Financial statement presented at the AGM it has a number for football operations but nowhere in that report will you find player salaries specifically. So unless you know something that we don't, and I assume you think you do, I am right and you have no clue as to how much any specific player may or may not be making. Have a good day.

Like to see Rey Back. Really the Riders had trouble finding a replacement. The guy was a beast. Look at the 2009 Western final. He was all over the field.

Rey would be a excellent addition to the Riders club In a year with the Grey Cup at Regina, Load It up (roster), and let the chips fall where they may, It may just produce a coveted championship.
