The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced today that non-import receiver Rob Bagg and import receiver Limas Sweed have re-signed with the team.

Bagg (6'0 – 190) originally signed with the Riders in 2007 as an undrafted free agent out of Queen's University. In 2012, the Kingston, ON native appeared in just three games totaling nine receptions for 69 yards before missing the remainder of the season due to injury. The 27 year-old has played 52 games over his six seasons with 134 catches for 1,935 yards and eight touchdowns. He was the Riders 2009 nominee as Most Outstanding Canadian.

Sweed (6'4 – 220) spent the last two weeks of the 2012 season on the Riders practice roster after signing with the team in October. Previously, the Navasota, TX native played three seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, registering 7 receptions for 69 yards and was a member of the 2009 Super Bowl Champions.

The Steelers originally drafted Swede in the 2nd round (53rd overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft out of the University of Texas where he was a two-time Rose Bowl Champion and member of the 2005 BCS National Championship team.

If Rob can stay healthy that is a huge signing as our offence isn't the same when he's not in lineup

Please please don't resign Sysco. The guy is a bum and is hurt more than he's not.

Sweet! Stay healthy Robbie and have a great season. A healthy Rob Bagg could easily be a 1,000 yard receiver.

Lol...Rob Bagg is no where near 6'0

Future Rob Vanstone headline after Limas Sweed's first TD:

How Sweed It Is

If Sweed is going to score a td, its going to be a reverse!! This dude struggles to catch, as any Steeler fan knows!

Happy for Rob Bagg and hopefully he can come back and be like the feel good story of the year after going through what he has gone through, gotta believe though, this is his last chance. It would be awesome if he could stay healthy all season!
I agree with Sisco.. Don't resign him!
And like the resigning of Sweed, might me able to do some good things!

Now lets get on to signing brackenridge!

I completely agree with the last post. Of any of our free agent imports, Tyron Brackenridge is by far the most important. Terrius George would be the second followed by Eddie Russ. McKenzie is one guy I believe we need to replace in the secondary with a bigger and faster player.

I agree, Sisco should be let go . He will fade away to some other career within 2-3 years.
