(Edmonton) – The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club acquired import quarterback Mike Reilly from the BC Lions.
Reilly joins the Eskimos after three seasons with the Lions where he completed 55 of 77 passes (68.8%) with four touchdowns. He also carried the ball 34 times for 122 yards and two touchdowns.
"Mike has the chance to be an elite quarterback in this league," says Hervey. "This is a step toward stabilizing our quarterback position."
Reilly, who under the terms of his contract would have been eligible for free agency in February, has signed an extension with the green and gold. As club policy, the terms of the contract are not disclosed.
In addition to Reilly, the Esks acquire the Lions' second round pick (14th overall) in the 2013 CFL Canadian Draft in exchange for Edmonton's second round pick (11th overall) in the 2013 CFL Canadian Draft and the second round draft pick in the 2014 CFL Canadian Draft.

(Edmonton) -  The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club announces the release of import defensive back Rod Williams and import defensive end Lee Robinson.
Williams was first acquired as a free agent in June 2010. In three seasons, he recorded 111 tackles and 11 interceptions.
Robinson was first acquired as a free agent in September 2011. In two seasons,  he recorded six defensive tackles, three special teams tackles and two quarterback sacks.

Good move by the esks. We will still woop them this year though.

Is Williams worth a look??? Our secondary needs help but he is probbably just more of what we already have. We need a leader back there!!

I think this is a interesting move by EE. Guess they have lost their touch in finding the next great QB like Ham,Allen,Dunigan, etc.

This means that the Lions either have a bonafide backup or Wally has lost his marbles. First Simon now Reilly.

Can anyone wait for training camp to begin?????
