(Edmonton) The Edmonton Eskimos announced today the re-signing of defensive end Marcus Howard, who was set to become a free agent on February 15. Howard has spent the past two seasons with the Eskimos.
Joining the Esks midway through the 2011 season, Howard made an immediate impact finishing the season with a team-leading 11 quarterback sacks, 18 defensive tackles and two forced fumbles.
In 2012 Howard played in six games, missing part of the season with an injured hamstring. Marcus returned to the line-up to play in final game of the regular season and the Eastern Semi-Final.

(Edmonton) Jamie Barresi, who was the run game coordinator for the Esks in 2012, has been named head coach of the Ottawa Gee-Gees in the CIS.
Barresi played quarterback for the Gee-Gees from 1976-1979 and was later an assistant coach there from 1981-1983. He has spent the past nine seasons in the CFL, including one season with the Eskimos.
