The Week That Was

Thursday, December 13th – Prince Albert 0 @ Pats 3
The Pats needed a big effort from their full lineup to snap a seven game losing streak and they got it Thursday night. Morgan Klimchuk and Lane Scheidl each had a pair of assists while Trent Ouellette, Marc McCoy and Adam Rossignol scored to help the Pats to a 3-0 victory over Prince Albert. Matt Hewitt made 23 saves for the shutout.

Saturday, December 15th – Pats 0 @ Calgary 2
A goal off the stick of Greg Chase only 1:46 into the contest would hold up as the game’s only marker until Cody Sylvester scored on the empty Pats net to give the Hitmen a 2-0 victory. The Calgary penalty kill was strong as the Pats were unable to tally a powerplay goal despite ten opportunities with the man advantage. Mack Shields stopped 18 shots to earn his first WHL shutout for Calgary while Matt Hewitt made 28 saves on 29 shots in the loss.

Sunday, December 16th – Pats 1 @ Edmonton 8
The Pats were right in the thick of it with the Oil Kings, trailing 3-1 early in the third period. Penalties and Michael St. Croix would turn things decidedly in Edmonton’s favour. St. Croix totaled four goals on the night, all of them on the powerplay as the Oil Kings went 5/7 with the man advantage en route to an 8-1 victory over the Pats. Stephen Hak scored the lone goal for the Pats.

Roster Moves
- Pats acquire Marc McCoy, Filip Vasko and cond. 2015 WHL Bantam Draft Pick from Red Deer for Dominik Volek

Quote of the Week
"It was kind of tough in the first period just adjusting system-wise. But all the guys were really welcoming and the coaches did a great job of trying to get me up to speed. It's obviously tough stepping in without a practice, but I tried my best and I'm glad we got a win." – Marc McCoy after the Pats’ 3-0 over Prince Albert
