This shows a clear sign of who is in charge. I like Chamblin's attitude and with him, you know where you stand. No grey areas. Go Riders Go. Polkabill from Regina
Nice of the Riders to pick a day that the spotlight should be on the Regina Pats and Jordan Eberle to make their announcements and hold a press conference. Could have done this any day since the Grey Cup and they chose yesterday???
That crossed my mind also. The Riders are getting kind of cocky. We've known about Smith and Walker since before the Grey Cup and Sweet for 2 or 3 days you'd think they could have picked any other day to tell us they're keeping Richie Hall. Kind of a slap in the face for the Pats and Rider fans.
While I agree that you dont want to compete with other local sports teams for fans/ attention I don't really think that this takes away from the Eberle night. Not to mention that this is football, not hockey, and The Riders are Saskatchewan's team, not Regina's team.
Wow break out the tinfoil hats people...yes the Riders waited to announce these coaching moves on Jordan Eberle Night because they're so clearly hell-bent on SCREWING the Pats...it's so obvoius now. Why didn't we see this dastardly plot before?! Thank god we have people like you watching oit for us...
So did the Rider announcement somehow have a bad effect on what was happening at the Brandt centre? Did it somehow have a bad effect on your lives? If you say yes I feel sorry for you. Well, on second thought, no I don't. There is no conspiracy theory here. You really need to get a life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So the Riders chose Eberle night to announce that they won't win the 2013 Grey Cup because they're keeping Richie Hall.
It wasn't a dastardly plot but it is presumptuous.
