Please interview and hire Ritchie Hall for the head coach in Hamilton

Are we really surprised?? I had the Cats pencilled in for Grey Cup finalists and they REALLY underperformed... considering the talent that they had

Tillman hasn’t worked for Hamilton yet. He has to be name #1 on the replacement list. Lapo or Dickenson have to be the lead dogs to be the next HC.

Sure didn't see that coming after only one year. Shows that the Cats mean business.

Congrats Hamilton, you are now the biggest joke in the CFL passing Winnipeg. Nice patience. I guess thats what happens when you have a millionaire owner that can afford to pay the other 4 years of a contract to someone that isn't even in the organization!!

A little early I have to say. Those who say it is too early and he wasn't given enough time, see Greg Marshall. No Rider fan can criticize this firing.
Marshall got canned eight games in. Had we played as poorly as Hamilton did with a similar pool of talent, many on here would be calling for Chamblin's job also. Patience is not a virtue many Rider fans (at least those on here) possess.
I will say this, Cortez certainly had some questions to answer, namely his choice of DC in Creehan. He had as good an offence as you will find but a porour defence really hurt the Ti -Cats this year. Did he deserve to lose his job? I guess in Bob Young's eyes he did.

He didn’t have a good selection of coaches to choose from once he was hired because all the good ones were already hired by other teams. That being said he tried to take on too many hats and wasn’t able to successfully perform any of them. He made some bad coaching decisions in games and there was a large enough contingent of players who didn’t like him for Young to justify his ouster.

How quickly we forget! At least Cortez was given more time than the Riders gave Greg Marshall and Marshall is also still being paid. So who really is the biggest joke in the CFL?

I am sure Cortez will land on his feet somewhere. Maybe he already has a lead somewhere to coach back in the NFL if not CFL, then Hamilton would not be on the hook for 4 years.

It will be hire a GM first. Can't see it being Tillman. Maybe Jeremy O'Day gets a chance now? It would also not surprise me to see Dunigan or Duane Ford get the job. As for coaches - Lapo had his chance and didn't do much in his two plus years in terms of record anyway and it was the inmates running the asylum there - he will get another chance but will need to go back to assistant for awhile. So you gotta think that Dickinson or Chris Jones gets a shot. Good nucleus of players there - if they can improve on defence they will be right in the running next year.

Rumors again are Kent Austin.

Yes. I am surprised. Cortez inherited a mess. I expected them to be strong. But, we didn't expect their defense to be as horrible as it was.

When it all comes down to it, Burris had a career year and they had one of the most potent offenses in the league. Giving him another year to shore up the issues on defense seemed pretty obvious to me.

This is a mistake. Unless there's more to the story which is entirely possible.
