BROOKS NAMED TO TEAM WEST

Regina, Saskatchewan - Regina Pats forward Adam Brooks has been named to Team West for the World U17 Hockey Challenge in Victoriaville/Drummondville, Quebec.

Brooks is in his first season with the Pats, featuring six points (1G, 5A) in 19 games on the campaign.

A second round pick (25th overall) of the Pats in the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft, Brooks had 41 points in 37 games with the Winnipeg Thrashers in the MMAHL last season.

"I am very happy for Adam and the Pats Organization," says Pats Assistant Coach Malcolm Cameron who will also head to Quebec as a part of Team West's coaching staff.  "It is a feather in Adam's cap for the work he put in this summer and the progress he has shown thus far this season.  It is a testament to our scouting staff who recognized Adam as a good young prospect and I know he'll represent the Pats well in Quebec."

Cameron and Brooks will leave the Pats shortly after Christmas to participate in the annual tournament December 29th – January 4th, 2013.  In last year's NHL Draft, 65 U17 Hockey Challenge Almuni were selected including Chandler Stephenson and six other Team West members.
