2012 CHRIS KNOX FOUNDATION GREY CUP

From George Y:

- "Rod, just wanted to share with you some of the special memories the Chris Knox Foundation had in this years Grey Cup Trip. It is hard to believe that it was 5 years ago that this wonderful province sent Chris and all those wonderful special recipients and family members to the 2007 Grey Cup in Toronto. Five years later over 120 very special recipients and family members, including this years 16, have gone to 5 Grey Cups. Our foundation couldn't have done it without the great corporate support from Greystone, Potash Corp, Cameco, SaskTel, DirectWest, CIC and Dash Tours and from all the wonderful individual donors.

"This year our recipients met some exceptional individuals. Most notable was having Kent Austin and his wife Shelley who spent quality time with our group as Coach Austin was a big part of Chris's story in 07. Pinball Clemons is just a wonderful person who took time out to personally talk and encourage every one of our recipients and family members. Same true for Brian Williams, Matt Dunigan and Commissioner Cohon. Lord Stanley didn't say much but visiting the HHOF was definitely a highlight.

"We are already planning for our biggest group for our home Grey Cup in 2013. Please visit www.chrisknoxfoundation.ca to donate or for more details.

Those people who hate the CFL should read this story. There is no way in hell a star player or former star player in the No Fun League would put that much time and effort into meeting up with the kids without being paid. Awesome story and amazing foundation. That is a big reason why I love are CFL.
