OIL KINGS BACK ON TEAM 1260

Edmonton, AB - The Edmonton Oil Kings have renewed their media partnership with the Team 1260, Edmonton Sports Radio. The Team 1260 will continue to be the official radio partner of Oil Kings Hockey for the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons. The Team 1260 will broadcast all of the Oil Kings 2012-13 regular season and playoff games live.

"We are very proud to once again call Team 1260 home." said Oil Kings Alternate Governor Darryl Porter "Aside from a top rate broadcast, the Team 1260 and their variety of shows and hosts continue to be an asset for us in gaining media coverage for our brand and junior hockey in the City of Champions."

"We are very excited to extend our partnership with the Oil Kings for the next two years bringing a really exciting brand of hockey to the Edmonton airwaves." said Team 1260 and 100.3 The Bear Brand Director Rob Vavrek.

Corey Graham will return as the voice of the defending WHL Champions both at home and on the road while Kent Simpson will serve as the colour commentator for all Oil Kings home games. The new broadcast partnership will also include a weekly Oil Kings show and daily Oil Kings reports on Team 1260 set to begin this fall.

All Oil Kings regular season single game tickets go on sale this Friday, August 31st at 10:00 a.m.  This includes all tickets for the Banner Raising Home Opener Thursday, September 20th at 7:00 p.m. against the Kootenay Ice.

Staying on topic here but just down the road in Red Deer, Brent Sutter is back as the GM of the Red Deer Rebels. Great news for the Rebels program. Jesse Wallin stays on coach too but has his GM title dropped.
