Our justice system sucks!!!! He should be locked up for at least 10 years

I'm an embarrassed Canadian today...our Justice system and it's judges are too concerned about hurting the feeling of those who wrong the innocent.

What a sad day!

FYI...The Sandusky case will actually see that guy rot in prison as it's in the USA where most states still have tough justice terms for sex predators. Some offenders are spending up to 400 years in sentences.

Our justice system is a complete joke, even though I'm not happy about the length I'll be happy to know these freak show will be treated like dirt in prison.

People who commit crimes against kids of any kind are at the bottom of the barrel in prison.

I think Todd Holts and Theo Fleury's statement after the sentencing needs to be read by everybody.'

A former employee (drug and alcohol addiction problems) of mine was sentenced to 1 year in jail for repeated impaired and driving while suspended. Is there something wrong with this picture, 2 years for a repeat sex offender, I'm sure James is sorry, sorry that he got caught. Justice system is badly broken.

This is awful and there is no explaining it or justifying it. To save sanity I can only say it is just never healthy to have expectations of the Canadian legal system, and as hard as this is realize Canada has a "legal" system, and not a "justice" system. Graham James will have a day of judgement and that is where justice will be swift and just. He's going to get what is coming to him.

I dealt with a person on a volunteer basis who happened to be a Defense Lawyer. Over time he'd let slip out how they "won" this case or that case. There is a deep emotional poverty in those who defend people like this.

Pray for peace in the hearts that all victims of Graham James can one day come to know they are no longer victims, but survivors and he has no power over them.

Correct me if I'm wrong. If he got two years, that is Federal time, meaning he can apply for early release (parole) after serving 1/3 of his sentence (eight months). Unbelievable!

You have no idea how many of these people roam the streets of Regina. Harold Smeltzer was in plain view of all people to see. Nobody knows what he looks like. The U.S. have rules that require sex offenders to notify their neighbours within a certain distance. James won't get a pardon but he could just as easily change his name. You'd never know you were dealing with him. Peter Whitmore will be getting out of jail soon. Anybody remember him. The list goes on and on.

Throw him in general pop in Stony Mountain or Millhaven. No protective custody for he or any other sexual predators.

I don't understand how he could only get 2 years. What was that judge thinking? Once again the victims end up losing. They should lock him up and throw away the key - literally!!!

Maybe the judge should let james have her son or grandson live with him for a while and see if two years would be suffiecient!!! This is a total embarrasment!!! Theo Sheldon and Todd are only three of the ones that have spoke up ...just imagine how many more are out there suffering and their lives will NEVER be the same...you look at that jerk covering his ugly face...

Let's hope his cell partner is John Holme's brother! Now that would be Justice.
