Tuesday in the Sports Cage, Global TV's Derek Meyers joined me and we covered a lot of crowd. We discussed Regina's LFL franchise, the NHL-to-Saskatoon and a whole lot more. We were also joined by The Sports Doctor from Winnipeg. Listen here:

It is pretty obvious that Derek Meyers has a dislike for Saskatoon! As a kid that grew up in Regina and then met and married and had 4 children in Saskatoon. I now live in Manitoba, but would take Saskatoon many times over Regina. They support the Riders and if there was a chance to get an NHL team, we should support them. I love your support show, but am tired of Derek's immature scoffing.
Agreed 100% with Kelly Remple 2 weeks ago. That LFL (jerk) president from Vegas tried selling the LFL as a "legit" product where football was THE focus, the T&A show was "only a hook". How stupid does he think we are? Kelly agreed the LFL was harmless fun, and even said he'd attend a game, but that at the end of the day it's still hot chicks wearing bras and panties, playing football to the same crowd that enjoys Hooters. Fans are going for the bras and panties, NOT the amazing spirals and great catches. The guy went off on Kelly for no reason, and then The Silver Fox let him have it with both barrels. It looked good on the prick.
Way to go Remps! You made that guy look foolish, and he deserved it!
Kelly tries to make a star out of himself every time he is on the show. He tries to make it all about him all the time. Give him his own show and put it on at a time when I am not listening.
Duke is outstanding! He says it like it is. If you don't like it, too bad. You have some great co-hosts and if I had to rank them I would say Duke, Scruffy, Lynch and then Remple. Schultz is in a league all by himself.
Remple is doing what Rod obviously likes him to do, stir things up and give his opinions. I like his style. The controversial guys will always get more criticism than the softer spoken guys.
Ranking co-hosts is like comparing o-linemen to linebackers to kickers, and then "ranking" them. It's obvious Rod has his co-hosts on for different reasons and strengths. They are all good imo. Myself, I like the dust-ups with callers and a-holes like that idiot from the LFL, so I loved the bit. But others are offended, whatever.
Kelly Remple is a good knowledgeable person. He always makes the show interesting and worthwile listening to. That how with the guy from Vegas was by far the best entertaing show thats been on the cage. Good for him to not back down and good for Scruffy to let those 2 go at it. Duke is a great host guest also.
