TALBOT RETIRES

(Edmonton)  Ten-year CFL veteran Andre Talbot announced his retirement today. Talbot played the 2010 season in Edmonton after spending his entire career with the Toronto Argonauts.

Eskimo General Manager Eric Tillman says, "Andre informed us yesterday he has decided to retire from professional football.  He was very gracious about his experience with the Eskimos and we thanked him for his contributions to our club and league.  It's always nice when a player leaves the game at peace and on his own terms.  As he goes to the next phase of life, Andre has much to be proud of, including his significant role in the Toronto Argonauts' 2004 championship season."

Traded to Edmonton from Toronto in February 2010, Talbot played 13 games in green and gold and had 27 catches for 301 yards and a touchdown. He had his best game in Week 5 when he hauled in six catches for 75 yards and the game-winning touchdown.
