Rider head coach Ken Miller was on our show last night. You can download the show here:

If downloading isn't for you, here's a recap of the show courtesy CFLDaily.com:
- Not Sure if free agent DE Jonathan Brown would fit in with this scheme. But the Riders have talked with him.
- Four Quarterbacks, Kent Smith being the 4th. He has "knocked around the NFL".
- Two Defensive Ends at least will sign before the week is out... One experienced player who was in the NFL. Other is just out of college.
- Has a Twitter account, tries to get an entry or two a day... fans get to see an inside look at what is going on. It's an opportunity to give fans a chance to check-in and see some things they don't normally see/hear. Stay interested in what is going on.
- SB Weston Dressler had problems in ankle, doctor removed fragments of cartilage and bones, which set him back. He's expected to be ready for training camp.
- WR Rob Bagg pretty serious injury, plate on collarbone... recovered really well. Lifting weights, going to be ready.
- RB Hugh Charles showing lots of ability, anxious to give him chance to show more at RB.
- Excellent depth at OL "Right now". Amazing how much leadership comes from the men upfront.
- Really pleased to have depth at tackle (Goodspeed, Bell). Goodspeed coveted by OL Coaches in Sask. Happy to have him, great character, great leader. Bell tremendous job last year. Interesting to see the battle in camp.
- If the Riders have to cut one or more, it won't be a happy day. Tremendous people, good players. Has been in conversations about trades, nothing concrete.
- Retired DB Eddie Davis very important on/off field. Everyone in organization respected him. Tremendous impact on team. Great communication with other DB's.
- Have staff evaluating Draft talent. Alex Smith coordinated it for # of years. Taman good at Canadian draft. Craig Smith worked with Lions, Ti-Cats. Strong. Dyce strong in draft as well. Lots of brainpower.
- Rod has talked to several players who enjoy the new Front Office structure. Players believe pressure off him. Kenny would agree. Says Taman has been better than he thought.
- Constantly amazed by fans and response to the team. Announcement about 100th Anniversary soon. Really excited for this season.
- Dalton Bell trade- Tremendous young man, but didn't make decisions very well in practice. Bergquist and Harrell showed tremendous work ethic, both good decision makers. Looking forward to working with them.

How many days until training camp?
Can't wait!!
yeah i enjoyed the answers to those questions, thanks
Mike
Man am I pumped for this season. Last season we came so close, and it was a heartbreaker, but what a great season it was regardless. I was a little worried losing Tillman after the job he had done, but after watching Taman for a few weeks I am breathing a bit easier. He has done an excellent job stepping in so far. And with Durant locked up for a few years and an amazing core around him, things look bright in Sasky! Go Riders and lets get back that Cup!
Adam Brown
Great information on the players and the team. Thanks!
Thanks Rod, what a great way to start a day.
I've been wondering about Rob Bagg, now I know.
Still seventy-five sleeps until the first exhibition game.
Go RIDERS Go.
Tom
Thanks for the updates. Have a great time in Vegas. Don't lose too much money and have to hitch a ride home.
