Edmonton, Alberta – With their 1st pick, 5th overall in the WHL Bantam Draft, the Regina Pats have selected Chandler Stephenson out of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
With the Saskatoon Generals this past season, Stephenson amassed 72 points in 46 games. He was also an AP with the Saskatoon Blazers of the SMAAAHL last season, playing in 9 games picking up two goals and an assist, and was with the club during the Mac's Midget Tournament over the holiday season. His brother, Colton Stephenson is currently a forward with the Edmonton Oil Kings

This Balog kid sounds great...but with this review, "plays 40 minutes some games", that def. has to be questioned!
from the scouting news.com, it looks like we passed on a few "higher rated" players with our 3rd rounder. But stole a player in the 2nd...so it might even out!
PA thinks they got the better player in Winther. Hard to imagine passing on Mike Winther. The most dynamic forward in the draft, league playoffs, bantam championships...
Hey again Saskatoon kicks our but in the draft 11-5 and only 1 kid in the first 2 rounds from regina, brutal, and if Balag is a top ten why did everyone pass on him.
Scouting reports also show that Chandler was barely a top five pic but a top 10. If Winther lites it up in the brandt center for 4 years someones job should be on the line.
Rod when are you and the mainstream media in Regina going to stop letting the Pats control you and mis lead you and stand up to these guys. They make the public feel we got a top 10 kid in the second round....on whoses ranking, there is no rankings or centrel scouting. They sell them selves to the media and you and harer believe everything they say...One question I have for Bent Parker if your drafts have been so good and you claim you always get good first rounders besides miller and he did admit that then why have none ofthem led the team on a playoff run.
