Regina, Saskatchewan – The Regina Pats and the Tri-City American have swapped a pair of first round picks. The Pats have acquired forward Jason Gardiner (pictured) from the Americans (8th overall in 2006) in exchange for forward Neal Prokop (5th overall in 2005).Gardiner, a native of Winnipeg, played in 11 games this season with the Americans while splitting time with the Selkirk Steelers of the MJHL. Prokop is also from Winnipeg and came to the Pats in November of last year from the Moose Jaw Warriors in exchange for goaltender Jeff Bosch.

any info on what type of player gardiner is? I think he might be the kid who had a long term injury this year for the AMs. Hopefully he can bounce back.

Just get rid of Roy Shivers...er, I mean Brent Parker already...seriously getting out of the first round twice in 14 years earns you an extension...oh wait, his daddy owns the team. Brutal.
